But why pay at all? There are hundreds of free language-lesson podcasts floating around the Internet. There are dozens on iTunes alone: Italian, Japanese, Arabic, Thai and so on. Of particular note is SurvivalPhrases, which offers 3- to 5-minute episodes that cover basics like "Where is the bathroom?" in 19 languages, including Vietnamese, Russian, Greek and Brazilian Portuguese.." - Frugal Traveler
